Vaibhav Sharma's Story

So, as the creator of Blog i would be the best person for 1st post of this blog.

It was winter, November had started, and it was November 2nd, place CEC Landran (Chandigarh).
Satyam was there to place students in their recruitment round called Dream Slot, i.e. it was there to recruit students who were already placed in other companies....( Hmmm.... nice way of attrition).
So an aptitude test was put in front of us....... cleared it with ease......
Then they made us to write two essays....
So interview was scheduled for next day.
I had been waiting for my turn for interview, and i had been in the college since morning 8:00 AM, and it was 8:00PM now.
I appeared for the interview and was out of the interview chamber within 30 seconds, I was selected.........Don't know How! I was told on the spot......." Boss you are selected".
Came out jumping high in the air with all the leaps n bounce in my heart as well..........

Days passed, my graduation was about to end.....
I received a call from Satyam computers......and they inquired about my result n other stats.....
I started shopping, knowing that i may get joining soon........
Scheduled or virtual date was 23rd of june......
But....But....... in the month of june i got another call from satyam and the lady saying with a very gracious voice and with a very polite tone" Vaibhav your joining will be nex month and you will receive confirmation mail by the end of this month"........
I started waiting for joining.....but no mail by the end of that month........
I mailed back to campulse team.....but of no use.......

Meanwhile i joined Satyam 2008 community on Orkut, began to mingle with my future colleagues, we didnot knew each other at all.
But we shared something common among us, we all were waiting for joining and we had a hope that we will meet each other some day.......(May GOD bless us with that day soon).
The community was a place where we got updated about latest news at satyam.
The community was just like another office in satyam.
A lot of activities came about in the community, people fought, people made friends, people left us for other companies, people spread rumours and many of ur might have fell in love as well........;).

More days past, got another call from satyam, then got emails.........
All calls and emails were for updation of Data........GOD knows how many times would they do that......Somebody really need to check their database........

And when it was really scheduled to release joining letters, one of the best friends of the world arrived.............The RECESSION......Markets and companies tumbling along ......not been able to stand on their feet........
Our Doj still hanging somewhere........

And its November 23rd today......but the hope is still on that we will get our joining soon. All we can do is hope for the best, we can't do much but all we can do is wait cheerfully.
